17-06-2011 > Fieldays Success

Close to 120,000 visitors potentially viewed REL and Keenan NZ’s joint exhibit at the National Fieldays in the Waikato. This year’s Fieldays theme of “Breaking Barriers to Productivity” aligned very well with the REL Barn/Keenan NZ integrated offering. Demonstrating the benefits of the REL Wintering Barn coupled with the efficiency of a Keenan Mixer generated a lot of interest. For more information on these products, please contact Trevor Green, National Sales Manager for REL or Stuart McIlwrick, Manager Keenan New Zealand.

14-04-2011 > Dairy Shed Construction

Steve and Sharon Schmack’s dairy shed has just been through its first milking season and the couple are nothing but happy with the result. REL built the 54 bail rotary shed with Project Manager Paul Maynard designing it from scratch. Look out for an article on the Schmack’s dairy farm and how REL added value to their operation in September’s New Farm Dairies magazine.
REL is currently working on a number of dairy farm projects throughout Canterbury. These include the engineering, manufacturing and construction of dairy sheds, yards and platforms.

20-03-2011 > Earthquake Repairs

REL has been very busy over spring and summer undertaking repairs to dozens of silos following the devastating Canterbury earthquakes. We have repaired or replaced over 80 silos on farm and in addition have carried out repairs to silos at the CRT/Reliance Feed Mill at Rolleston.

10-11-2010 > New Strategic Direction

Owners John and Janette Kuyf took the bold step this month to appoint a board of directors including two external, independent directors. In addition, they have appointed a General Manager to lead the operational side of the business allowing greater time for John to focus on strategic projects and business development. Read more about these appointments and other key staff under About Us.

01-06-2010 > REL MOBILE SHOWROOM

Trailer2.png

REL recently made a significant investment in a mobile show trailer.
Instead of hauling large volumes of equipment to shows and field days around the country, REL now has the capability of rolling up anywhere in NZ and being ready for business within the hour with only one or two staff.

The trailer is fully equipped with DVD players, flat screen TVs, brochure racks and poster walls, as well as kitchen facilities complete with refreshment fridge – the most important feature!

The trailer will also be used by Keenan NZ to advertise & promote its range of Keenan Mixer Wagons & Orbital Spreaders.

30-05-2010 > VITERRA FEED MILL

REL Grain Storage & Handling is proud to have been selected by Viterra (formerly ABB Grain) to provide the grain storage and handling facility for their new feed mill at Manuwera in Auckland. REL’s contract has been completed and the facility will open in June 2010.

The contract with Viterra follows successful contracts with Goodman Fielder for grain silos and equipment at their Moorhouse Avenue Flour Mill in Christchurch and with CRT/Reliance for their new Feed Mill at the Izone Industrial Park in Rolleston, Canterbury.

12-04-2010 > NEW SERVICE SUPERVISOR

REL welcomes Daniel Dawson to the newly-created role of Service Supervisor. With the ever growing number of dairy sheds, meal feeding systems and grain handling installations throughout NZ, and in particular the South Island, a dedicated service division is necessary. Daniel’s team will provide the after-sales service and backup our customers deserve. They will be responsible for the timely and efficient response to service callouts, new machinery commissioning and any warranty issues.
